The theological indigenous group of ASETT, represented by Eleazar Lopez, has fully participated at the V Bishops Conference in Aparecida, Brazil, in May, with successful results for the Indigenous peoples, where their dignity and value start to be widely recognized. For the future, this theological group plans to amplify the dialogue with the ecclesiastic institution until the full recognition of their rights inside it; to broaden the nets of communication and to strengthen joint action in the regions, as well as an ecumenical articulation with the indigenous pastoral service. Concretely they are intensifying the actions in the Mesoamerican space (since the mayans theology) and in the Amazon area (with concern to the life´s deterioration (human, animal and vegetal) in the Amazon region.
