The 3rd WFTL was carried out from 21 to 25th January 2009, in Belém, Pará, Brazilian Amazon region. More than 1.000 participants from Brazil and various countries of the world attended to different activities, which included conferences, workshops, liturgies and different cultural spaces.

EATWOT coordinators and members from the four continents participated actively in the conferences, panels and workshops.

* JOINT ACTIVITIES SYMPOSIUM - Social Movements and Theology in Latin America

From 13th to 15th August 2009, ISEAT (Andinean Ecumenical Institute of Theology) held in La Paz, Bolivia, a Symposium on Latin American Theologies, which was attended by over sixty theologians from Latin America, US and Europe. It was a meeting to cellebrate the 15th anniversary of ISEAT.
EATWOT was one of the organizations which contributed for the event and sent 4 of its members: Luiza Tomita (executive secretary & treasurer, Brazil), Diego Irarrazaval (Chile), Silvia Regina de Lima (Brasil/Costa Rica), Ezequiel Silva (Argentina).
